Job summary

Colony Brands, Inc. is seeking a Software Developer to join the Credit/AR development team at our Monroe, Wisconsin headquarters. You will collaborate with product owners and developers to design, implement, test, and maintain high-quality financial software in an Agile environment.

You'll work with .NET Core/C#, RESTful APIs, microservices, and cloud technologies (AWS/Azure), ensuring secure and scalable solutions and mentoring teammates on complex tasks.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalency in related education and professional work experience
• Experience with FinTech, banking, payment or other financial systems
• 1+ years of work experience in a software development role
• 1+ years of experience in a combination of the following: .NET Core, C#; RESTful API services; Python a plus
• Demonstrated knowledge of microservices architecture, application development lifecycle, event-driven and asynchronous architecture, object-oriented design, etc.
• MySQL, Dynamo, or similar database experience
• Azure DevOps and Pipelines; CI/CD a plus
• Git or an equivalent distributed version-control system / repo
• Cloud-based infrastructure, AWS preferred
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Experience retiring legacy applications by replacing them with innovative modern solutions
• Proven ability to collaborate on designs, estimates, and delivery of complex development tasks while acting as a proactive team member in an Agile development environment
• Creates clean and maintainable code following coding standards and secure coding requirements
• Proficient in verbal and written communication for both technical and business audiences
• Continually enhance and share knowledge in application development best practices, technologies, methodologies, and standards
• Willingly acquires, applies, and trains others in new technical skills driven by business needs or technological advancements

As a Software Developer on our Credit/AR development team, you'll work closely with product owners, stakeholders, and other talented developers to design and implement solutions that push the boundaries of what's possible. You'll develop, test, implement, document and maintain high quality business systems software solutions using the latest programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Your role will also include maintaining and improving our software, ensuring it's secure, reliable, and performs at its best. The individual in this position will take a lead role on complex initiatives and will mentor staff as needed.
