Job summary

Connected Logistics is seeking a Software Developer to support a DLA client’s full software development lifecycle, focusing on requirements, design, performance, and deployment. You will participate in architecture decisions, mentor juniors, and drive maintainable code within an Agile framework.

The role emphasizes collaboration with analysts, system architects, and product owners to deliver value-driven features, while ensuring secure coding practices and scalable solutions in a federal context.

Qualifications

  • Five years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with APIs supporting Low-Code/No-Code platforms.
  • Experience with BPMN tools.
  • Experience developing automation software using BPMN models.
  • Experience using Appian, Salesforce, Nintex, and Microsoft stack.
  • SQL Server and .NET development experience.
  • Experience in Agile and hybrid low-code development.
  • Certification from a nationally recognized technical authority.
  • Position Sensitivity: Non-Critical Sensitive (IT-II/IT-2).
  • Investigation requirements: favorable Tier 3 NACLC/ANACI.

Responsibilities

  • Develop software based on analyst-provided requirements for enterprise-scale needs.

Job description

Overview

Connected Logistics is seeking to hire a Software Developer to support a DLA client's full software development lifecycle; to provide in-depth knowledge of requirements development, system design, system performance, and software programming; and to design and manage the database and deployment software.

The Software Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions. They are responsible for development efforts, for contributing to architectural decisions to ensure scalable and maintainable codebases, and for mentoring junior team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop software based on requirements developed by Computer Systems Analysts to meet the business solution needed at enterprise, large-scale level. All work is within the application development framework used by the organization.
  • Collaborate with Computer Systems Analysts to fulfill the client’s goals to implement the business solution.
  • Proficiently execute work using the tools and techniques implemented for the project.
  • Work directly with Systems Architects to develop and implement new third-party applications, tools, and programming libraries to meet DLA’s development goals.
  • Resolve problems with software and respond to suggestions for improvements and enhancements.
  • Act as team leader on projects.
  • Participate in development of software user manuals.
  • Instruct, assign, direct, and check the work of other software developers on development team.
Software Development & Architecture
  • Design and develop complex software solutions using best practices and modern technologies.
  • Ensure code quality through design reviews, code reviews, and adherence to development standards.
  • Lead architectural discussions and contribute to technology strategies.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to mid-level and junior developers.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the development team.
  • Lead by example in writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
  • Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and Agile ceremonies.
  • Work closely with Product Owners, QA engineers, and business analysts to deliver value-driven features.
  • Drive technical discussions and decision-making within the team.
Performance & Optimization
  • Identify bottlenecks and optimize application performance.
  • Implement and advocate for secure coding practices.
  • Ensure maintainability and scalability of software solutions.
Requirements
  • Five (5) years relevant experience
  • Experience with application programming interfaces (APIs) to support Low-Code/No Code Development Platform models.
  • Experience using low-code/no-code business process modeling notation (BPMN) tools.
  • Experience developing application/process automation software based on BPMN models.
  • Experience using software tools such as Appian, Salesforce, Nintex, etc. with Microsoft
  • SQL Server databases and Microsoft .NET development environment.
  • Experience in agile and hybrid low-code application development.
  • Relevant certification from a nationally recognized technical authority.
  • Position Sensitivity: Non-Critical Sensitive (Formerly IT-II or IT-2).
  • Investigation Requirements: Must possess a favorable Tier 3 (T3) NACLC/ANACI.
Preferred Experience
  • Prior experience within DOD DLA DPAS/ELMS or similar federal agencies.
