Optimus Technology, Inc. in Laurel, MD, seeks a software developer to provide application development and production support for critical HR systems and ensure enterprise applications operate effectively.

In a fast-paced Agile environment, you will learn new technologies, collaborate with engineers, and tackle customer requirements to deliver reliable solutions while prioritizing accessibility compliance (ADA 508) and modern tooling (AWS, GitLab, Docker, CI/CD).

Qualifications

• Experience with AWS platform for cloud-based applications.
• Experience with GitLab and GitLab runners for CI.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies in software teams.
• Experience creating automated integration and unit tests.
• Hands-on with Docker containerization.
• Exposure to large language models (LLMs) in development.
• Working knowledge of ADA Section 508 accessibility standards.
• Ability to learn new technologies and solve complex customer requirements.

Responsibilities

Join a team of developers and system engineers and play a crucial role in ensuring that applications in the Human Resource Applications and Services organization operate effectively

• Primary responsibility will be providing application development and production support for critical human resource applications that support the enterprise

• In this role you can develop and implement innovative approaches to improve system sustainment helping to proactively identify and correct potential issues before outages occur.

• The position will require working in a fast-paced team in an agile environment and a willingness to learn new technologies and take on challenges to creatively solve customer requirement problem sets. This provides an opportunity to constantly learn and grow as a developer, while also making a meaningful impact on the organization’s operations.
