Job summary

Elevate Ventures in the Midwest is seeking a full-time Software Developer to design, develop, and maintain software applications of moderate complexity. You will collaborate across teams, write robust code and tests, contribute to system design, document work, and help drive process improvements in a hybrid office/remote environment.

Required: a Bachelor’s degree in CS/IS/Business or related field, 2–5 years in collaborative development, plus a relevant certification or equivalent training;

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of proven experience in collaborative software development.
• Technical certification in Java, C#, Python or Angular strongly preferred.
• Willing to complete advanced certifications as required by projects.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on results.
• Knowledge of software development methodologies, tools, and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prioritize, and manage tasks and timelines; assist in project planning.
• Develop, review, and maintain efficient, scalable code and tests.
• Collaborate across teams and mentor junior developers.
• Produce and maintain project documentation.
• Contribute to system design and process improvements.
• Continuously update skills and participate in learning opportunities.
• Implement security measures and ensure QA through comprehensive testing.

The Software Developer?designs, develops, and maintains software applications, working on projects of moderate complexity.?They collaborate with teams, analyze requirements, write code, and troubleshoot issues, contributing to all phases of the?SDLC.?This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.?

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field required.
• 2-5 ?years proven experience participating in collaborative development environment preferred with proven experience as a software developer or other similar experience.
• A technical certification in a modern programming language such as Java, C#, Python or Angular is strongly preferred. Other acceptable substitutes may include internships, academic projects, coding bootcamps, relevant education (Coursera, edX, Udacity, Udemy, CodeCamp, or some other training profile) and/or participation in hackathons.
• Willing to complete advanced certifications as required by individual projects.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on results and continuous improvement.
• Knowledge of software development methodologies, tools, and best practices.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

• Environment: Hybrid work environment (office and remote).
• Mobility: Must be able to sit or stand for prolonged periods.
• Vision: Must be able to read from a computer or mobile screen.

• Travel: Occasional travel to client sites or conferences may be required.
• Standard business hours, with potential for extended hours during project deadlines or critical phases. Based in the Midwest, so standard business hours are typically 8:30 AM EST to 5:00 PM EST. Standard business hours may vary depending on client needs.
