Job summary

SAIC has an immediate opening for a Software Developer to support the Precision Fires team at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama. You will design and develop embedded software for military systems and participate in the full software lifecycle to deliver a high quality product.

You will work with cross-functional teams, contributing to requirements analyses, design reviews, and testing, while interfacing with Cyber, Safety, Operations, and Test groups to ensure agile delivery and on-time

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and two years of experience; six years can be considered in lieu of degree.
• Must possess an active Secret security clearance; US citizenship required.
• C/C++ and other OO languages.
• Agile development experience (Scrum).
• Continuous Integration and automation.
• OO programming and design with unit tests.

Description

SAIC has immediate need for a Software Developer, supporting the Precision Fires team for CCDC Aviation and Missile Center, Systems Simulation, Software and Integration Directorate (S3I) located on Redstone Arsenal, in Huntsville, Alabama.

Responsibilities And Duties

The candidate will be responsible for design and development of embedded software for military systems. The candidate will perform development activities for the full life cycle of a software program. Duties may include requirements analysis, design, coding, integration, test, documentation, and support. The candidate will also participate in software team meetings, hardware and software design reviews, and technical interchange meetings. The software engineering process also empowers the candidate to work with Cyber, Safety, Operations, and Test organizations to deliver high quality working software. The candidates will work in a team environment, with well-defined goals, supporting both new and legacy embedded systems. The candidate is able to receive timely feedback on software implementation by working directly with the customer, ensuring Agility and delivering a software product that fills immediate needs.

Qualifications

Education Requirements

• Bachelors and two (2) years’ experience; Additional six (6) years’ experience can be considered in lieu of degree (per contract vehicle).

Clearance Requirements

• Must possess an active Secret security clearance; US Citizenship required.
