Optimus Technology, Inc. seeks a SQL Software Developer to support and enhance a corporate budgeting solution across the enterprise.

You will work with customers, technical leads, Systems Engineers, and other development teams to deliver reliable financial systems. The role covers the full SDLC in an Agile environment, maintaining legacy production stacks while implementing modernization and upgrades to reduce downtime and improve availability.

Qualifications

• Experience working in an Agile Development environment.
• Experience managing the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) to include requirements definition, design, development, test, deployment, and sustainment.
• Experience with cloud platforms, including AWS.
• Experience with SQL Server.
• Experience with C#.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and support enterprise SQL-based applications and database components that integrate critical budgeting and financial information.
• Work directly with customers, technical leads, and System Engineers to understand requirements and deliver enhancements.
• Manage development and sustainment work through JIRA and participate in analysis, design, testing, deployment, troubleshooting and support.
• Collaborate with multiple teams across the taskorder to coordinate shared dependencies and implement changes.
• Apply software development, testing, QA, and DevOps practices to deliver reliable, maintainable solutions and improve processes.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for operations, troubleshooting, and knowledge transfer.
• Identify opportunities to improve system reliability and reduce downtime, streamline upgrades, and improve availability.

We are seeking aSQL Software Developerto supportand enhanceacorporate solution that integrates budgeting and other financial information across the enterprise.In this role, you will work directly with customers, technical leads, Systems Engineers, and other development teams to deliver solutions that improve the reliability, performance, and maintainability of critical financial systems.

The position offers the opportunity to work across the fullsoftware development lifecycle – from understanding requirements and defining technical solutions through development, testing, deployment, documentation, and ongoing product support. You will helpmaintaina legacy production technologystack whileidentifyingopportunities to improve system sustainment, proactively address potential issues, reduce downtime, and streamline the implementation of system upgrades.Thisis acollaborative, customer-facing role that requires the ability to work across interconnected applications and teams with shared technical dependencies. The successful candidate will be comfortable solving complex technical problems, working in an Agile environment, and balancingmodernization and new development efforts with the operational needs of production systems.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop, enhance, and support enterprise SQL-based applications and database components that integrate critical budgeting and financial information, including troubleshooting complex issues within a legacy production environment.
• Work directly with customers, technical leads, and System Engineers to understand requirements, define technical outcomes, develop solutions, and deliver enhancements that address business and operational needs.
• Manage development and sustainment work through JIRA whileparticipatingin requirements analysis, design, development, testing, deployment,troubleshootingand ongoing support.
• Collaborate with multiple technical and development teams across thetaskorder to coordinate shared dependencies, resolve cross-application impacts, and successfully implement changes across interconnected systems.
• Apply software development, design, testing, quality assurance, and DevOps practices to deliver reliable, maintainable solutions and support continuous improvement of development and sustainment processes.
• Create andmaintaintechnical documentation necessary to support system operations, development, troubleshooting, knowledge transfer, and ongoing system sustainment.
• Identifyand implement opportunities to improve system reliability and operational efficiency, including proactively addressing potential issues, reducing outage duration, streamline upgrades, and improving the availability and usability of supported systems.
