Job summary

LCS Defense in Maryland is seeking a Software Developer to design, implement, and maintain Java applications for mission‑critical systems, participating in all phases from concept and design to deployment.

You will apply OO design, Spring Framework, and CI tools, collaborate with architects, and ensure secure, scalable solutions. A BS in CS/Engineering and 3–5 years of hands‑on experience are required, with the ability to obtain a SCI clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of proven hands-on software development experience.
• Solid object-oriented analysis and design skills using common design patterns.
• Profound insight of Java and JRE.
• Excellent knowledge of relational databases.
• Experience with the Spring Framework (e.g., Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data).
• Experience with build tools for continuous integration.
• Familiarity with version control systems.
• Minimum Secret Clearance, with the ability to obtain a SCI.
