Key job responsibilities

• Collaborate with experienced cross-disciplinary Amazonians to conceive, design, and bring innovative products and services to market.
• Design and build innovative technologies in a large distributed computing environment and help lead fundamental changes in the industry.

About the team

Our team owns route creation for the Sub-Same Day delivery business. Sub-Same Day is the fastest full-scale click to delivery service that Amazon offers retail customers processing tens of thousands of packages every day in countries around the world. The scale of the team is massive and problems we work on are complex in the pursuit of ever faster delivery with greater efficiency.

Basic Qualifications

• 4+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 3+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent, or 5+ years of computer science fundamentals (object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving and complexity analysis) experience
