The Content Platform team is looking for a Software Development Engineer who will act as first‑level support and development for all incoming production software application issues related to merchandising applications. This role will develop monitoring solutions, troubleshoot/debug code, perform SQL queries, improve metrics systems, update and track technical challenges, and collaborate with Amazon Corporate and Divisional Software projects. Your solutions will directly impact our customers.

Responsibilities

• Develop monitoring solutions
• Troubleshoot/debug and fix internally developed code (Perl, C/C++, Java)
• Perform SQL queries
• Improve systems that gather metrics on our features
• Update, track, and resolve technical challenges
• Work alongside development on Amazon Corporate and Divisional Software projects
• Update and enhance our current software
• Automate support processes
• Document our systems

Qualifications

• Detail‑oriented with superior verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational skills, able to work independently and maintain professionalism under pressure
• Preferred coding skills: Perl, C/C++, Java
