Job summary

Amazon Security is seeking a Software Development Engineer to build and manage services that detect and mitigate cybersecurity threats across AWS infrastructure. You will collaborate with data scientists and security engineers to design scalable, low-latency systems and improve observability, performance, and automation at a massive scale.

You will mentor teammates, explore new technologies, and contribute to a diverse, inclusive culture while helping protect every AWS customer.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of design or architecture experience on new and existing systems
• 1+ years of software development experience
• Experience programming in at least one language
• Knowledge of Python and/or C++ programming

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with data scientists and security engineers to build automated security detection and mitigation workflows
• Design scalable architectures for low-latency, big data processing
• Improve the observability, performance, and efficiency of our existing systems
• Raise the bar for testing, repeatability, automation, and operational excellence
