They must possess a good understanding of software testing methodologies and be experienced in various testing techniques and tools, such as Cucumber, Cyprus, Gherkin, Selenium, and be able to leverage these tools to streamline the testing process. They should also have expertise implementing DevOps practices using tools such as Azure DevOps, Azure DevOps Pipelines, Octopus Deploy, Git, GitHub, and JIRA. The SDET should also demonstrate experience with concepts related to performance and security testing.
