Job summary

SciTec, a dynamic defense contractor, seeks a Systems Engineer to advance software-defined radar data processing in a modernized backend. You will drive requirements, architecture, and MBSE in a software-centric, Kubernetes-based environment.

The role demands DoD clearance readiness, high-throughput data expertise, and strong cross-functional collaboration with radar, cybersecurity, and mission teams in a DoD context.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in systems engineering for sensor systems, large-scale real-time systems, or mission-critical software-processing pipelines.
• Experience developing or maintaining system architectures, requirements, and interface specifications for data-processing systems.
• Familiarity with the design and architecture of high-throughput sensor data processing systems.
• Familiarity with model-based systems engineering tools and techniques.
• Strong technical communications skills for cross-functional collaboration.
• U.S. Citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain a DoD clearance.

Responsibilities

• Define, refine, and manage system-level requirements for software processing flows (ingest, timing, signal processing outputs, interfaces).
• Develop high-level software architecture for deploying signal processing services in a Kubernetes-based environment.
• Create and maintain MBSE artifacts (SysML diagrams, functional flows, ICDs).
• Define integration strategies for software-processing components and support verification planning.
• Collaborate with radar-frontend teams, signal processing developers, cybersecurity, and government stakeholders.
• Identify and track technical risks for processing architecture and computing infrastructure.
• Develop artifacts to support program reviews and internal design meetings.
