Job summary

Prima, a fast-growing data-driven motor insurance company, is expanding its engineering team. We’re looking for a Software/Data Engineer to help build, publish, and maintain complex data products and pipelines that drive our pricing and underwriting domain.

You’ll work with data scientists and ML engineers to shape data infrastructure, implement best practices in data modelling and governance, and contribute to scalable, reliable data platforms across cloud environments.

Qualifications

• Expert in batch, distributed data processing and near real-time streaming data pipelines.
• Experience with cloud-based data lake/big data analytics platforms, AWS preferred.
• Proficient in Python programming and data engineering best practices.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases and data modelling.
• DevOps, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code best practices.

Responsibilities

• Shape architecture of data products for analytics and data science.
• Lead data transformation with modelling, performance optimization and governance.
• Build reusable data ingestion, storage, transformation, and serving components.
• Collaborate with data scientists and ML engineers to refine data requirements.
• Stay current with emerging tech and contribute to Meetups and community events.
