Job summary

SAIC is seeking a Software Configuration Analyst to support the MLRS team at Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, AL. The role focuses on software configuration management, release coordination, and compliance with shipping regulations.

You will coordinate material releases and software burning to portable media, interface with stakeholders across test, safety, and QA, and develop processes to remediate issues while meeting fielding deadlines. Requires active Interim Secret clearance and US citizenship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience (or 4 years with degree equivalence).
• Active Interim Secret clearance to start; ability to obtain Secret; US citizenship required.
• Experience with software configuration management and fielding activities.
• Experience with delivery and shipping of hardware and software.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel and Word).
• Excellent communication, analytical, problem solving and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Materiel Release and burn software onto UFM SSDs/DVDs/CDs or portable drives.
• Background in software manipulation, downloading/burning of CD/DVD/UFM/SSD.
• Maintain written shipping records and ITAR/regulatory information as required.
• Interface with internal and external stakeholders including test, safety, system engineering, and QA.
• Develop processes to remediate issues per shipping guidelines to meet fielding requirements.

SAIC has an immediate need for a Software Configuration Analyst to support the MLRS team located at Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville AL.

The Software Configuration Analyst will be responsible for but not limited to the following duties:

• The candidate will be responsible for coordinating Materiel Release/s, burning software onto UFM’s SSD’s DVD’s CD’s or any other portable drives necessary
• The ideal candidate will have a background in software manipulation, downloading/burning of CD’s DVD’s UFM’s and SSD
• Maintaining of written shipping records, ITAR or any other required regulatory information regarding shipping Documentation
• Applicant will need the ability to interface with internal and external stakeholders to include test, safety, system engineering, and quality assurance
• Applicant will be required to work independently and develop processes that will ensure issues and problems are remediated expeditiously and per shipping guidelines in order to meet all requirements for each fielding

Qualifications

Required Education:

• Bachelor's degree and five (5) years’ experience; additional four (4) years’ experience can be considered in lieu of degree

Required Clearance:

• Must possess an active Interim Secret security clearance to start with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret; US Citizenship required

Required Skills:

• Experience with software configuration management and fielding activities
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Desktop tools
• Experience with Delivery and Shipping of hardware & software
• Proficient in standard logistics software
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel and Word, in particular)
• Excellent communication skills with ability to coordinate with projects leads

• Ability to lift 25lbs and and maneuver staircases/uneven surfaces

Desired Skills:

• Experience with Army Aviation and Missile Command (AMCOM) System Safety Docker

Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
