About the Role:

ITC Infotech is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Software Asset Specialist to join our remote team in the United States. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting the Software Asset Management (SAM) program by helping streamline processes, ensure compliance, optimize software usage, and collaborate across multiple departments.

What you'll do

• Support and contribute to projects that mature and enhance the SAM program through data collection, documentation, audits, and process improvement initiatives.
• Assist in developing and maintaining automation for software asset data collection, storage, and reporting; contribute to the creation of SOPs and work instructions.
• Collaborate with IT teams to ensure SAM processes align with data sources, APIs, and discovery technologies.
• Maintain accurate records of software assets, licenses, warranties, service agreements, and leases.
• Track and report on software asset inventory, compliance, usage trends, and cost optimization opportunities through dashboards and KPIs.
• Ensure accurate and current discovery data by regularly auditing and reconciling records as part of lifecycle management.
• Provide licensing support and assist in defining license metrics, tool administration, and data source management.
• Monitor compliance, assist with remediation plans, prepare for audits, and generate usage and compliance reports.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders including security, engineering, vendor management, finance, application owners, and enterprise architecture to ensure alignment with SAM standards and goals.
• Promote continuous improvement by staying informed on SAM trends, tools, and best practices; participate in training and certifications.
• Identify opportunities to optimize underutilized or unused IT assets to enhance organizational efficiency.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in business or technology field

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Software Asset Management (SAM)
• Experience in the development of an ITAM program and the ITAM data & processes
• Client and stakeholder relationship management experience and the ability to proactively manage expectations.
• Experience in training and developing team members and stakeholders on governance processes and skills.
• Experience with administration, maintenance, compliance, management of ITAM (HAM Pro/SAM Pro) in ServiceNow
• Experience with Finance, Vendor Management, and Contracts
• Experience within the Healthcare Industry
• Experience in a large, complex organization
