Job summary

CDW is seeking an IT Asset Specialist II to manage the full lifecycle of enterprise IT hardware and software assets in Scottsdale, AZ. You will handle asset tracking, procurement coordination, inventory management, software compliance, audits, and decommissioning activities.

You will partner with cross-functional teams including Desktop Support, Infrastructure, Security, Cloud, and Procurement to maintain accurate asset records and drive cost savings through optimized asset utilization.

Qualifications

• 2+ years IT Asset Management experience.
• Experience with enterprise asset inventories.
• Experience with ITAM and ITSM tools.
• In-depth experience with ServiceNow HAM Pro and/or SAM Pro.
• Strong understanding of IT hardware, software licensing, procurement, and asset lifecycle management.
• Experience generating reports and analyzing asset-related data.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end lifecycle of IT assets, including procurement, receiving, deployment, reclamation, refresh, and disposal.
• Maintain accurate inventory records for hardware, software licenses, mobile devices, servers, and network equipment.
• Process hardware and software requests while ensuring compliance with company standards.
• Coordinate with vendors and procurement teams to source assets and ensure timely delivery.
• Generate reports on asset utilization, inventory status, license compliance, and procurement trends.
• Conduct software compliance reviews and software reclamation activities.
• Support hardware refresh initiatives and asset audits.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare retired assets for disposal while ensuring secure data handling and regulatory compliance.
• Partner with Desktop Support, Infrastructure, Security, Cloud, Procurement, and Software Owners to maintain accurate asset records.
• Create remediation tickets and support compliance initiatives related to hardware and software assets.

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of IT Asset Management experience
• Experience managing hardware and software asset inventories in an enterprise environment
• Experience with IT Asset Management (ITAM) and IT Service Management (ITSM) tools
• Indepth experience with ServiceNow HAM Pro and/or SAM Pro
• Strong understanding of IT hardware, software licensing, procurement, and asset lifecycle management
• Experience generating reports and analyzing asset-related data
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and customer service skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working within highly regulated industries, including banking or financial services
• Understanding of software licensing compliance and regulatory requirements
• CHAMP (Certified Hardware Asset Management Professional) or related IT Asset Management certification
