Job Title: Software Asset Management Analyst

Location: Waterbury, CT (Remote – EST preferred)

Contract Duration: 3 months to start, with potential for extension or hire

Schedule: Standard business hours

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Software Asset Management Analyst to support the Director of Software Asset Management in executing daily operational tasks. This role is critical for maintaining accurate software inventory, managing licenses, and ensuring compliance through effective reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review weekly software purchases and flag items requiring follow-up or action
• Create and update records for new software purchases
• Submit and manage content or service requests; follow up as needed
• Normalize software inventory data using asset management tools
• Generate governance and performance reports
• Collect license entitlements and related documentation for each software product
• Review and interpret contract terms and conditions
• Coordinate and track license renewals and maintenance agreements with software owners
• Support software review processes, documenting updates and decisions

Qualifications:

• Required: High school diploma or GED
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business, or related field
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in IT, IT Asset Management, or Software Asset Management
• Understanding of asset management tools and technologies
• Familiarity with software licensing and contractual terms
• Knowledge of Software Asset Management (SAM) principles and practices
• Preferred Experience: ServiceNow SAM Pro
• Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage and organize large sets of data
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
