Job summary

Air Apps seeks a Mobile Software Architect to design scalable, high-performance mobile architecture, primarily for iOS, with cross-functional collaboration across product, design, and engineering.

You will lead architecture strategy, establish coding standards, and mentor engineers to advance the mobile ecosystem. Strong expertise in Swift, UIKit/SwiftUI, and CI/CD is required for this role.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of mobile development with an architecture focus.
• Expert in iOS with Swift; Objective-C knowledge is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of UIKit/SwiftUI/Combine and modern iOS frameworks.
• Familiarity with Android development (Kotlin/Java) is a strong plus.
• Experience integrating with APIs, handling storage, caching, and background tasks.
• Strong knowledge of App Store submission, mobile security, and compliance guidelines.
• Experience with mobile CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, and deployment automation.
• Clear communication of architectural concepts to technical and non-technical teammates.
• Passion for clean code, design patterns (MVVM, VIPER), and scalable architecture.

The Role

As a Mobile Software Architect at Air Apps, you will take the lead in designing scalable and performant mobile architecture for our suite of applications - primarily focused on iOS, with cross-functional knowledge of Android development considered a plus.

You will collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to craft elegant and efficient solutions that support millions of users globally. This is a strategic and technical leadership role where your decisions will influence the long-term evolution of our mobile ecosystem.

• Stay current with the latest trends and best practices in mobile architecture, performance, and security.

Requirements

• Around 6+ years of experience in mobile development with a strong architectural mindset.
• Deep expertise in iOS development using Swift (Objective-C knowledge is a plus).
• Solid understanding of UIKit, SwiftUI, Combine, and other modern iOS frameworks.
• Experience with app performance optimization, modularization, and offline-first strategies.
• Familiarity with Android development (Kotlin/Java) is a strong plus.
• Experience integrating with APIs, handling mobile data storage, caching, and background tasks.
• Strong knowledge of App Store submission, mobile security, and compliance guidelines.
• Experience with mobile CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, and deployment automation.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain architectural concepts to both technical and non-technical team members.
• Passion for clean code, design patterns (MVVM, VIPER, etc.), and scalable architecture.
