Were looking for a passionate, hands-onSoftware Architect to join Jackson Hewitt as a key team leader and influencer. The architect will have technical leadership responsibilities for our flagship tax software as well as a few internal tools. This is a position where you will lead developers on a scrum team, develop integrations with web services, and partner with other architects to deliver and transform our platform.

Role & responsibilities

• Build, deliver, and support distributed software to thousands of endpoints
• Build and scale REST web services in a DevOps culture
• Design, plan, and coach team members through the delivery of new features
• Review code and provide feedback to developers
• Identify and champion strategic improvements to our platforms and processes
• Use operational data to optimize production uptime and performance
• Drive team design and troubleshooting sessions

Skills youll bring for success:

• 9+ years of relevant development experience
• Proven leadership track record as a technical architect or team lead in an agile environment
• Expertise in .Net and client-side applications (Vue.JS (preferred) / React / Angular)
• Expertise in delivering web experiences and scalable REST web services
• Experience with SQL Server
• History of successfully managing 3 to 5 direct reports
