Job summary

SOLTECH is seeking a Software Architect to lead design and delivery of modern custom software solutions for clients in Atlanta. This role partners with business and technical stakeholders to modernize legacy apps, design cloud-native architectures, and integrate AI capabilities into enterprise solutions.

You will design architectures for enterprise web, mobile, cloud-native, and AI-enabled systems, produce key artifacts, and mentor delivery teams while remaining hands-on with architecture spikes

SOLTECH is seeking a Software Architect to lead the design and delivery of modern custom software solutions for our clients.

This is a consulting role for an experienced architect who enjoys partnering directly with business and technical stakeholders to solve complex challenges through software. You'll help organizations modernize legacy applications, design cloud-native architectures, and integrate AI capabilities into enterprise solutions.

This is not an infrastructure, network, cloud operations, ERP, or SaaS implementation architect role. We are looking for architects who have built and delivered custom software applications and enjoy remaining technically engaged throughout delivery.

What You’ll Do

As a trusted advisor to our clients, you will:

• Lead technical discovery workshops to understand business challenges and translate them into scalable software solutions.
• Design modern application architectures for enterprise web, mobile, cloud-native, and AI-enabled solutions.
• Produce key solution artifacts including architecture diagrams, application designs, technical roadmaps, wireframes, user stories, process flows, and data models.
• Architect and guide development of applications using .NET, Node.js, React, Azure, and AWS.
• Partner closely with engineering teams to ensure successful implementation of architectural decisions.
• Evaluate existing applications and recommend modernization strategies, cloud migrations, and platform improvements.
• Design AI-enabled solutions incorporating Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), intelligent automation, and modern AI services.
• Collaborate with sales and delivery teams on solutioning, project scoping, technical estimates, client presentations, and proposal development.
• Mentor development teams and provide technical leadership throughout project delivery.
• Remain hands‑on when appropriate through proof-of-concepts, architecture spikes, and technical validation.

What You Bring

Software Architecture Experience

• 10+ years designing and delivering enterprise custom software applications.
• Proven experience architecting distributed, cloud-native applications.
• Strong hands-on development experience with:
• Node.js
• React
• Experience designing REST APIs, microservices, event-driven systems, and modern application architectures.
• Deep knowledge of Azure and/or AWS cloud platforms.
• Experience with Docker and containerized application deployment.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes is a plus.
• Experience leading application modernization initiatives.
• Background delivering software within consulting, professional services, or client-facing environments.

AI & Emerging Technology

We’re looking for architects who understand how AI can create business value—not necessarily researchers or data scientists. Experience with one or more of the following is preferred:

• Integrating Large Language Models into enterprise applications
• AWS Bedrock or SageMaker
• Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
• AI agents and workflow orchestration
• Prompt engineering and evaluation
• Model fine-tuning approaches (LoRA or similar)
• Designing secure, scalable production AI solutions

You are comfortable working directly with executive stakeholders and technical teams.

You have experience:

• Leading technical discovery sessions
• Facilitating requirements workshops
• Translating business objectives into software architecture
• Presenting architecture recommendations to executives
• Supporting pre-sales activities and solution design
• Leading cross-functional engineering teams
