Job summary

Persistent Systems is seeking an Architect Engineer Plus to establish and govern Architecture‑as‑Code (AaC) standards across the enterprise, driving PTB adoption and evolving AaC into an enterprise architecture intelligence platform.

You will lead AaC governance, guide DeepWiki/C4 Designer integrations, and mentor engineers while shaping the architecture roadmap and compliance processes in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of combined Enterprise Architecture and software engineering experience.
• Deep expertise in C4 architecture modeling applied at enterprise scale.
• Experience leading architecture governance processes and review boards.
• Experience architecting integrations across CMDB, IDP, ServiceNow, and Threat Modelling systems.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve C4 modeling standards and non‑negotiable standards‑as‑code for enterprise‑wide AaC adoption.
• Lead the firm‑wide rollout of AaC as the foundation of the organization's PTB process.
• Design policy‑as‑code validation frameworks that automatically flag non‑compliant architecture and design submissions.
• Own architecture governance integration by partnering with enterprise architecture governance boards to embed AaC outputs into architecture review and approval workflows, including transitioning to exception‑based review.
• Lead downstream integration architecture spanning Threat Modelling, CMDB/IDP, and core technology systems of record (e.g., Ticketing Tool ServiceNow).
• Design the architecture intelligence roadmap for AaC's evolution into an enterprise architecture intelligence platform, focusing on continuous drift detection, change‑impact analysis, RTO risk detection, and portfolio modernization intelligence.
• Define continuous compliance and exception‑management processes as AaC scales across the enterprise.
• Guide integration architecture for DeepWiki and C4 Designer, the platform's primary auto‑generation and Solution Architecture modeling tools.
• Mentor AaC Software Engineers on architecture modeling practices and review submitted artifacts for governance compliance.

About Position

As an Architect Engineer Plus, you will be the senior authority responsible for establishing and maintaining the standards and governance for Architecture-as-Code (AaC) across the enterprise. Your role is pivotal in defining what constitutes compliant architecture, driving the firm‑wide rollout of AaC as the foundation of the organization's Path‑to‑Build (PTB) process, and evolving AaC from a modeling tool into a comprehensive enterprise architecture intelligence platform.

Mandatory Skills

• 10+ years of combined Enterprise Architecture and software engineering experience.
• Deep expertise in C4 architecture modeling (or an equivalent notation) applied at enterprise scale.
• Experience leading architecture governance processes and review boards.
• Experience architecting integrations across CMDB, IDP, Ticketing Tool ServiceNow, and Threat Modelling systems.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with DeepWiki, C4 Designer, or equivalent architecture‑intelligence tooling.
• Background in change‑impact analysis, drift detection, or resiliency/RTO risk modeling.
• Experience with portfolio modernization or technology‑landscape optimization initiatives.
• Prior experience leading or mentoring an architecture engineering team.

Expertise You'll Bring

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent hands‑on experience.
• 10‑14 years of experience, including at least 5 years in an enterprise architecture leadership capacity.
• Experience operating in or leading an enterprise architecture function is strongly preferred.
