Job description

Position Title: Software Architect – IIS Applications Location: Montgomery, Alabama (Onsite, Monday–Friday) Clearance Requirements: None required Pay Rate: Based on Experience

Position Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Architect to lead the design, development, and continuous enhancement of mission‑critical applications hosted on IIS. This role serves as the technical authority across the full application lifecycle, ensuring solutions are secure, scalable, high‑performing, and aligned with enterprise standards.

The ideal candidate brings a strong architectural mindset, deep expertise in ASP.NET, C#, and SQL Server, and the ability to translate complex business requirements into effective, reliable technical solutions. This individual will collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams to deliver applications that support critical business operations.

This is an onsite position based in Montgomery, Alabama, offering the opportunity to contribute within a structured and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead architectural design and planning for enterprise‑level applications optimized for IIS environments
• Translate complex business and functional requirements into clear technical designs and specifications
• Design and oversee the development of scalable, maintainable, and high‑performance .NET applications
• Evaluate and select appropriate frameworks, tools, and technologies for both front‑end and back‑end development
• Establish and enforce coding standards, architectural best practices, and code review processes throughout the SDLC
• Design solutions with a strong emphasis on database efficiency, performance tuning, and optimized data access
• Ensure all architectures adhere to secure software design principles and enterprise security standards
• Act as a technical liaison between developers, project managers, business analysts, and stakeholders
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to development teams

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Proven experience as a Software Architect or Senior .NET Developer in enterprise environments
