American Research Bureau seeks a Software Architect to lead the next stage of technology development for a mission-driven probate research firm. This role focuses on building practical, business-critical software, improving internal workflows, integrating data sources, and leveraging technology as a competitive advantage.
You will design durable solutions, write high-quality code, and collaborate with nontechnical stakeholders to align IT with operations.
ARB is seeking a Software Architect to help lead the next stage of technology development for a long-established, mission-driven probate research firm. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building practical, business-critical software systems, improving internal workflows, integrating data sources, and helping a company use technology as a competitive advantage.
Although our work is rooted in genealogical and probate research, ARB is increasingly technology driven. Our internal systems, research tools, data resources, and workflow applications are central to how we operate, scale, and serve clients. We are looking for a Software Architect who can help us modernize and strengthen our technology environment while building practical tools that improve speed, accuracy, efficiency, and scalability across the business.
This is not a generic software development role. The Software Architect will help design and build technology that directly supports ARB’s core business operations, including research efficiency, internal workflow tools, data usage, system integrations, and employee productivity. The right candidate will be able to understand business needs, design durable software solutions, write and review high-quality code, and communicate effectively with both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
