Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a Software and Systems Engineer to design Cloud-based software systems and modernize data processing in the Cloud. You will translate real-world needs into technical specifications and work within an Agile, mission-focused environment to deliver dependable software products.

You will collaborate on system documentation, risk management, and strategic growth initiatives while leveraging your MBSE and Agile experience to support the warfighter and client missions.

Qualifications

• Experience with systems engineering and MBSE.
• Experience with Agile methodology, requirements definition, system documentation and customer support.
• Ability to produce clear, government-accepted documentation and traceability.
• Ability to identify and track technical debt, risks and opportunities.
• Familiarity with Agile planning and team engagement.

As a Sof tware and Systems Engineer on our team, you have the chance to design Cloud-based sof tware systems in support of the client. Your technical expertise will be vital as you evaluate and modernize data processing in the Cloud. You’ll develop your skills in sof tware system support while gaining experience in mission data transformation, meeting data centricity objectives. You Have:

• Experience with systems engineering and Model Based Systems Engineering

• Experience with Agile met h odology, requirements definition, system documentation, and customer support

• Ability to support missions through detailed, well written, and government-accepted documentation and requirements t raceability

• Ability to identify and track technical debt, risks, and opportunities at a tactical and strategic level

• Ability to function on a team and fully e n ga ge in Agile planning and support

• Top Secret clearance

• HS diploma or GED

• Ability to obtain a Security+ CE Certification within 6 months of hire date

Nice If You Have:

• Experience with Cloud sof tware development, requirements t raceability, government contract data requirements lists, risk management processes or best practices, or sof tware backend testing

• Knowledge of Atlassian tools, including Jira, Confluence, and Visio graphic design

• Ability to deliver all documentation on time through the contract data requirements list approval process, including helping to bring the next level of value added to taskings

• Possession of excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

• Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills

• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph

• Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security, or GSEC Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $69,400.00 to $158,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
