Job summary

Christy Sports is seeking a Softgoods Supervisor to lead the sales staff in a busy ski retail environment in Montana. You will manage customer interactions, drive sales, and oversee inventory and merchandising.

A love for winter sports and strong product knowledge are essential to help guests find the right equipment and accessories while delivering outstanding service. The role offers a competitive hourly wage with commission and a free ski pass, supporting a vibrant mountain lifestyle.

Qualifications

• Be friendly and comfortable working with people.
• Love to ski or snowboard and know how the gear works.
• Basic computer skills are needed.
• Excellent written and verbal English.
• Schedule flexibility to include nights, holidays and weekends.
• Ability to stand long periods and lift up to 25 pounds.

Summary Description: Reporting to the Store Manager, this position is responsible for the management of the Softgoods sales staff and department inventory control.

What You'll Be Doing (Besides Planning Your Next Run):

• Greet all customers in the store
• Develop a rapport with the customers through conversation to understand their needs
• Build trust from the customer through product knowledge and the delivery of accurate information
• Bring the sale to a successful close
• Expand the sale by demonstrating knowledge of accessory and/or related products or warranty agreements as appropriate for the needs of the customer
• Operate the cash register to complete the sale
• Merchandise the store by stocking shelves, counters, or tables with products
• Other duties as assigned

What Makes You a Fit:

• Be Friendly, outgoing and comfortable working with people
• Love to ski or snowboard and some knowledge of how it all works
• Have basic computer skills
• English fluency, written and verbal
• Need to be flexible in your schedule to get the most out of ski time, including working split shifts, nights, holidays and weekends
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time and regularly lift 25 pounds
