Job summary

Sturtevant's in Bellevue, WA is seeking a Softgoods Supervisor to lead the softgoods sales staff and manage department inventory. Reporting to the Store Manager, this role focuses on greeting customers, building rapport, informing with product knowledge, and closing sales.

The position requires friendly, outgoing behavior, a passion for winter sports, and basic computer skills. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is expected to maximize ski season opportunities.

Qualifications

• Friendly, outgoing and comfortable working with people.
• Love to ski or snowboard and some knowledge of how it all works.
• Have basic computer skills.
• English fluency, written and verbal.
• Flexible in schedule including nights, holidays and weekends.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift 25 pounds.

Summary Description

Reporting to the Store Manager, this position is responsible for the management of the Softgoods sales staff and department inventory control.

What You'll Be Doing (Besides Eyeing That New Jacket)

• Greet all customers in the store
• Develop a rapport with the customers through conversation to understand their needs
• Build trust from the customer through product knowledge and the delivery of accurate information
• Bring the sale to a successful close
• Expand the sale by demonstrating knowledge of accessory and/or related products or warranty agreements as appropriate for the needs of the customer
• Operate the cash register to complete the sale
• Merchandise the store by stocking shelves, counters, or tables with products
• Other duties as assigned

What Makes You a Fit
