Job summary

Softgel Co. in Grand Junction, CO is seeking a Packaging Operator - Casual to support production by handling materials, bottling and labeling as needed, and keeping work areas clean and organized.

You will operate basic machinery under supervision, follow GMP and SOPs, participate in production schedules, and report safety concerns to the supervisor. This casual role offers hands-on experience in a climate-controlled facility.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing for long periods and lifting up to 60 lbs.
• Strong teamwork and problem-solving skills.
• Good attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Basic mechanical aptitude or experience working with machinery is an asset.
• Willingness to learn and take on different tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform general labour tasks such as lifting, moving, and organizing materials.
• Support packaging operations, including bottling and labeling, when required.
• Operate basic machinery and equipment under supervision.
• Assist with equipment setup, break-down, routine cleaning, and maintenance.
• Conduct visual inspections to ensure products meet quality standards.
• Follow all safety protocols, GMP, and SOPs.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area.
• Participate in team meetings and follow assigned production schedules.
• Communicate any safety or operational concerns to the supervisor.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
