Job summary

Spinnaker SCA, a company of Publicis Sapient, is seeking a Softeon WMS Technical Consultant to drive implementation, testing, and integration of Softeon WMS with external systems. You will lead client-facing activities, gather requirements, and design solutions for warehouse management, MHE/automation, RF, and shipping processes.

The role requires strong WMS experience, SQL (Oracle), and familiarity with XML/WebService integrations, plus BI/BA reporting skills and leadership in workstreams.

• Performs professional level work that requires interpreting complex issues and taking appropriate action.
• Prepares customers to use system by conducting training and developing SMEs.
• Contributes to deliverables and client collateral such as solution summaries and process diagrams.

Spinnaker SCA is hiring for Softeon WMS Technical Consultant

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Accomplishes business objectives by identifying and solving customer information and processing problems.
• Identifies project requirements by interviewing customers and stakeholders; analyzing operational processes and implementing technical solutions (Warehouse Management Systems, MHE/Automation, RF, Printing and Shipping Solutions); determining project objectives; documenting results; preparing findings and follow‑up.
• Develops problem solutions by describing requirements in a flow‑chart and diagram; studying system capabilities; analyzing alternative solutions; preparing system specification.
• Possesses and applies broad knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures of a particular product or platform to the completion of moderately complex assignments.
• Performs detailed design for Softeon specific enhancements.
• Works with customers to test and implement interfaces between Softeon WMS and external systems.
• Works directly with the customer project team during configuration, testing, training, and implementation. Leads parts of the CRP or functional reviews of WM.
• Performs professional level work that typically requires processing and interpreting complex, less clearly‑defined issues. Identifies problems and possible solutions and takes appropriate action to resolve them.
• Works independently on larger, moderately complex projects/assignments that have direct impact on the department and are results‑driven. Receives guidance only on unusually complex problems or issues.
• Implements prototype solutions then validates and verifies results by completing testing.
• Prepares customers to use system by conducting training: developing SMEs and assisting with End‑User development.
• Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information.
• Maintains and shares professional and technical knowledge with clients and peers.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Collaborates and produces deliverables and client collateral to include Solution Summary Documentation, Process descriptions and diagrams, High‑level system context diagram, Configuration plan, Conversion plan, Training plan, Cut‑over plan, Training Job Guides, QRGs, SO.

REQUIREMENTS

• Strong WMS experience.
• Experience with SQL (Oracle preferred); 3 years of experience with ZPL for labels.
• Experience using integration protocols (WebService, SQL, XML, etc.).
• Provides senior level design for client‑specific enhancements.
• Proactively troubleshoots and resolves issues that arise during the implementation.
• Experience working in a client/customer facing role within a supply chain or software organization.
• Experience in Business Process Definition, Support, and Design.
• Functional Flow Process Descriptions and Future State analysis.
• Minimum 4 years of WMS utilization experience and integration with other processes.
• Tier 1 or Tier 2 WMS experience; WMS application to support warehouse operations; WMS application integration to various 3rd party software such as ERPs, OMS, WCS, WES, etc.; Printing solutions, document and label shipping solutions (FedEx, UPS, USPS, DHL, freight carriers).
• Past experience as a WMS SME with knowledge of inbound processing, outbound processing, physical inventory, RF transactions, cycle counting, general warehousing, and MHE/Automation integration.
• Setup/Configuration/day‑to‑day support.
• Strong experience working in warehouse and fulfillment operations with a keen sense of lean practices, safety regulations, and compliance.
• Strong leadership skills with past experience in leading workstreams and teams in problem resolution, new development of processes, and implementation of WMS application modifications or extensions.
• Strong experience in BI/BA tools, reports, dashboards, understanding of data and system integration tools, methods, and platforms.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills; PowerPoint, Word, and Document workshop leadership.
• Professional Expertise: Technical and Professional. Relevant WMS experience. Omni‑channel distribution: store and e‑commerce.
• SQL (Oracle), Excel, Report tools.
• Preferred technical and professional skills: ERP, Automation.
• Pay Range: $70,000 - $220,000 USD + Bonus. The range shown represents a grouping of relevant ranges currently in use at Spinnaker SCA.
