Job summary

Ashland High School in Ashland, OR is seeking a Head Coach, Softball for the 2026 season. This temporary role requires leading the softball program, directing practice, and ensuring athlete safety and development.

The coach will supervise assistants, teach fundamentals and strategies, and coordinate season planning, reporting, and communications with staff and families. Competitive salary is provided with a seasonal schedule.

Qualifications

• Previous coaching experience and strong leadership skills.
• Valid first aid/CPR required.
• NFHS coach certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directs and supervises assistant coaches.
• Holds organized, supervised practice as the program requires.
• Teaches skills to participate and be competitive in softball.
• Teaches strategies to participate and be competitive in softball.
• Prepares and submits a final season report with equipment inventory, contest records, athlete awards, and a budget projection.
