Qualifications

• Validity of CT Teacher Certification or TECP pathway must be met.
• CPR and First Aid certification required.
• Concussion Education certificate required by CT Department of Education.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for organization and administration of coaching duties and enforce CIAC/CCC rules.
• Arrange pre-season meetings with students/parents to discuss rules and expectations.
• Coach individual participants in sport-specific skills and strategies.
• Issue and discuss required documents and handbooks; obtain signatures.
• Supervise and develop the coaching staff and oversee equipment and facility usage.
• Monitor academic progress and support Extra Assistance program.
• Draft and submit budget requests by early October.
• Assist students with college placement and community programs.
