Job summary

Plymouth State University invites applications for the position of Assistant Softball Coach. Reporting to the Head Softball Coach, the Assistant Coach will assist in all aspects of the NCAA Division III softball program.

This position supports the recruitment, development, and success of student-athletes while promoting academic achievement, sportsmanship, and personal growth in accordance with the mission of Plymouth State University and the philosophy of NCAA Division III athletics.

Qualifications

• Collegiate softball coaching or playing experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of softball fundamentals, development, and recruiting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist Head Coach in all phases of the program, including practice planning and game preparation.
• Coach and develop student-athletes through individualized instruction and team training.
• Identify, evaluate, and recruit prospective student-athletes who demonstrate academic and athletic potential.
• Assist with practice organization, scouting, and game strategy.
• Support strength, conditioning initiatives and monitor student-athlete progress.
