Job summary

Maximus seeks a Strength and Conditioning Specialist to develop and implement evidence-based training programs for SOF personnel, focusing on injury prevention and return-to-duty readiness.

Role requires CSCS or CSCCA certification options, bachelor's degree in exercise science, and 2+ years of related experience. Hybrid work is supported with strong collaboration across human performance and medical teams.

Qualifications

• Certifications in strength and conditioning are required or preferred.
• NCAA Division I/elite athletic training exposure is valued.
• CPR/AED certification is current.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement strength and conditioning programs for SOF personnel.
• Instruct exercises with proper technique and safety measures.
• Collaborate with medical and human performance staff for rehab and return-to-duty planning.
• Document protocols and ensure compliance with program requirements.
• Assist in developing facility SOPs and training materials.

Education

CSCS certification (NSCA)

SCCC certification (CSCCA)

CPR certification (AED)

Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science/related field

Master's degree preferred
