Job summary

Battelle Memorial Institute seeks a highly motivated Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) to support the POTFF program for U.S. SOF personnel.

The ATC provides injury prevention, acute care, rehabilitation, and performance enhancement services in a mission-driven environment, collaborating with HP leadership and other clinicians. You will document care in military EHRs and assist with program implementation, training materials, and fiscal planning, with opportunities for flexible, hybrid work

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in athletic training required.
• Current NATABOC certification required.
• NSCA CSCS certification (or ability to obtain within first year).
• Minimum five years of demonstrable ATC experience with athletes at NCAA/Olympic/pro levels or SOF operators.
• Valid unrestricted license from a US state/territory.
• Credentialing maintained at local MTF; ability to obtain/maintain US government clearance.
• Ability to hike rough terrain and observe SOF training in austere environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide injury prevention, acute care, rehab and performance enhancement services.
• Design and fabricate protective pads/equipment; apply taping techniques as allowed.
• Deliver instruction and guidance within ATC scope of practice.
• Collaborate to review care and identify improvements; participate in program meetings.
• Advise HP program leadership on injury prevention, sports medicine and rehabilitation.
• Maintain clinical documentation in EHRs (GENESIS, SPEAR) as required.
• Support fiscal planning, equipment safety, and purchasing activities.
• Contribute to developing job descriptions, performance standards and practice guidelines.
