Job summary

Battelle Memorial Institute in the United States seeks a Cognitive Performance Specialist for the Health Research and Analytics (HRA) group to support the POTFF program under USSOCOM. This full-time role focuses on advancing cognitive, mental, and behavioral skills for Special Operations Forces in training and operation contexts.

Responsibilities include developing training materials, delivering evidence-based training, documenting work in HP systems, and supporting research and reporting

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in human performance, Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or Sport Sciences with Sport Psychology specialization.
• At least five years as a mental performance coach or sport psychologist with athletes at NCAA/olympic/pro sports or SOF settings.
• Ability to lift up to 25 kilograms and meet physical demands of SOF training.

Responsibilities

• Train SOF personnel to develop cognitive skills for training and operations.
• Educate and train SOF personnel in cognitive, mental, behavioral, and performance skills.
• Support and advise HP program Manager/Coordinator on mental performance matters.
• Develop and maintain training materials and guidelines for HP centers.
• Document work, data, and training activities in required systems.
