Job summary

Battelle Memorial Institute is seeking a highly capable Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) to join the Health Research and Analytics (HRA) team in support of U.S. Special Operations Command.

The ATC will deliver injury prevention, acute care, rehabilitation, and performance enhancement services to SOF personnel as part of POTFF, driving evidence-based decisions across programs. The role includes clinical and administrative duties, equipment design, and collaboration with program leadership to

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in athletic training and NATABOC certification.
• NSCA CSCS or ability to obtain within first year of employment.
• At least five years of demonstrable ATC experience with athletes at NCAA/Olympic/pro/SOF levels.
• Valid, unrestricted US license in good standing.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide injury prevention, acute care, rehabilitation, and performance enhancement for SOF personnel.
• Design and fabricate protective equipment and braces; apply taping techniques.
• Advise HP program leadership on clinical and administrative matters.
• Collaborate to improve patient care and ensure compliance with guidelines.
• Maintain equipment safety and participate in program meetings and fiscal planning.
