Social Worker - Western Correctional Center For Women

Located in Black Mountain, NC, Western Correctional Center for Women is a minimum custody facility on a 100+ acre compound housing up to 366 inmates. Responsibilities include:

• Evaluate offenders' situations and develop social histories, psychosocial assessments, service plans, and follow-ups.
• Develop community or service resources.
• Perform assessments to identify needs and establish appropriate service/treatment plans, providing supportive/directive counseling to inmates and families.
• Utilize knowledge of various services and counseling techniques to provide services.
• Apply social work practices and theories, understanding community services, agencies, and providers.
• Follow agency guidelines and standards, documenting referrals accordingly.
• Collaborate with inmates, families, and treatment teams to develop and implement treatment plans.
• Coordinate with other professionals for services, programs, and consultation.

This is a full-time position (40 hours/week) with State Benefits.
