The Social Worker will be part of a multidisciplinary team, responsible for assessment, case management, referral, and follow-up for clients seeking assistance with substance use issues. The role involves providing psychosocial counselling and support to clients with substance use problems, requiring sound knowledge of drug and alcohol clinical information to ensure appropriate assessment and case management.
The position operates Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm, with services provided both virtually and face-to-face within the community. The team includes Social Workers, Health Clinicians, Nurses, Addiction Medicine Specialists, Nurse Practitioners, and a Clinical Lead, located within Western NSW Local Health District.
