Job summary

The Stepping Stones Group is seeking a dedicated Social Worker to support students in Espanola, NM. In this school-based role, you will provide counseling, intervention, and case management to help students overcome challenges and thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

You will collaborate with families, teachers, and a multidisciplinary team to coordinate supports, participate in IEP meetings, and connect students with community resources as needed. Relocation assistance is available.

Qualifications

• MSW required.
• NM PED licensure in School Social Work required (or LMSW/LCSW as applicable).
• Experience in special education, public school, or social work setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide counseling, support, and intervention services to students.
• Collaborate with families, teachers, administrators, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Support students' social-emotional well-being and academic success.
• Assist with crisis intervention, behavioral planning, and community resource coordination.
• Maintain accurate documentation and participate in IEP and student support meetings.
