Job summary

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a Social Worker to provide readjustment counseling and psychosocial support to Veterans and families. The role requires a CSWE-accredited MSW, licensure for independent practice, and the ability to work with diverse Veterans populations.

The incumbent will assess, plan, and implement treatment, coordinate with Vet Center services, and ensure safety in crisis situations while contributing to a multidisciplinary team in a federal setting.

Qualifications

• Masters in Social Work from CSWE-accredited program.
• Licensure or certification required for independent practice.
• Ability to assess psychosocial functioning and develop treatment plans.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychosocial assessment and counseling to Veterans and families.
• Develop and update individualized service plans with measurable outcomes.
• Coordinate care with community resources and Vet Center partners.
• Conduct risk assessments and crisis interventions when needed.
