Summary

The Fargo VA Health Care System is recruiting for 1 full-time Social Worker (Program Coordinator) to serve as Tribal Housing and Urban Development (HUD)/ Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing (VASH) program coordinator for Turtle Mountain, operating in Belcourt, ND, and the surrounding areas as feasible.

Duties

  1. Program Coordination: Coordinate and implement the Turtle Mountain Tribal HUD VASH Program, including attending national, VISN calls, and training. Lead program development, identify outcomes and measurements, and monitor process outcomes for education, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  2. Subject Matter Expert: Serve as the champion for the Tribal HUD VASH Program, promoting its implementation and maintenance, and act as the primary contact for tribal nations interested in starting partnerships.
  3. Group Facilitation: Conduct groups for Tribal HUD VASH, demonstrating skills in facilitation, development, recruitment, and utilizing telehealth when appropriate.
  4. Psychosocial and Clinical Assessments: Develop assessments reflecting high skill in data gathering, analysis, and documentation, including DSM-5 and ICD-10 diagnoses when relevant.
  5. Treatment and Referral: Provide psychotherapy, supportive counseling, and collaborate with other service providers for veterans' needs.
  6. Travel: Up to 75% travel required, including transporting patients in a non-commercial vehicle. Valid driver's license required.

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. or 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Telework: Available (Ad-hoc)

Qualifications

Must have a master's degree in social work from an accredited school, be licensed or certified to independently practice social work, and meet experience requirements for GS-12 level, including one year of experience at the GS-11 level or equivalent.
