Job summary

Temple Health seeks a Social Worker II for Per Diem at the Temple Faculty Practice. The incumbent assesses psychological status, advises medical personnel, and delivers direct services to promote timely and safe discharges, with a focus on pregnant women and parents of young children.

Qualifications

Description

The Social Worker II assesses the patient’s psychological situation in order to make recommendations to medical personnel, and provides direct services that ensure the patient’s best use of health care services including safe and timely discharges.

This grant funded position will support pregnant women and individuals parenting young children. The position will focus on increasing awareness of and response to childhood trauma and impact on parenting and child development to reduce transmission of intergenerational trauma. This role will include supervision of student interns so applicants must have 3 or more years of experience.
