Job summary

This grant-funded role supports pregnant women and parents with young children, aiming to enhance awareness of childhood trauma and its impact on parenting and child development. Supervision of student interns is included; 3+ years of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited program.
• Strong interpersonal and analytical skills.
• Experience collaborating with medical teams and directing student interns.

Responsibilities

• Assess the patient’s psychological status and provide recommendations to medical personnel.
• Deliver direct social work services to maximize appropriate use of health care and ensure safe, timely discharges.

The Social Worker II assesses the patient's psychological situation in order to make recommendations to medical personnel, and provides direct services that ensure the patient's best use of health care services including safe and timely discharges.

This grant funded position will support pregnant women and individuals parenting young children. The position will focus on increasing awareness of and response to childhood trauma and impact on parenting and child development to reduce transmission of intergenerational trauma. This role will include supervision of student interns so applicants must have 3 or more years of experience.

Education

2 years experience as a Medical Social Worker Preferred

Licenses

Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Preferred
PA Social Worker License Preferred
