Job summary

Caretenders, a part of LHC Group, is seeking a Social Worker - Per Diem to provide medical social services under the direction of a physician and an Interdisciplinary Group to support patients and families in understanding social and emotional factors related to health status.

You’ll work in a flexible per diem capacity, with pay ranging from $28.75 to $43.10 per hour based on full-time equivalent schedules and local labor markets.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Social Work from an accredited program.
• Licensed as a Social Worker in the state of residence.
• CPR certification preferred or obtainable within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Provides medical social services under physician direction and interdisciplinary team.
• Assists in understanding social and emotional factors related to health status.
• Develops coping strategies for patients and families.
• Participates in care planning and patient-family education.

Social Worker - Per Diem

provides medical social services under the direction of a physician and Interdisciplinary Group to assist in the understanding of significant social and emotional factors related to the patient's health status and in development of coping mechanisms.

You’ll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.

Required Qualifications

• Master's Degree fom a school of Social Work accredited by the Council of Social Work
• Current Driver's License, vehicle insurance, and access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation

Additional State Specific Requirements

• Licensed as a Social Worker from the State Board of Social Work

Preferred Qualifications

• Current CPR certification or ability to complete within 90 days of hire
• Licensed Social Worker in the state of residence
• 1+ years of social work experience in a health care setting
