Job summary

Job Description

Position: Elementary Social Worker

The Licking Regional Educational Service Center is seeking a Social Worker who will be responsible for supporting Newark Elementary students and advocating for their emotional, mental and physical wellbeing. Their duties include fostering positive relationships with students, connecting at-risk youth with helpful resources, coaching and supporting school personnel, and acting as a liaison between school and community and school and home. The Elementary Social Worker serves as an active member of the Social Emotional Academic Support (SEAS) Team through regular meeting attendance, individual and team contributions, and participation in events.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or related field preferred;
  • Valid CSWMFT Board Social Worker License preferred;
  • Acceptable to Building Principal, Asst. Superintendent, and Wellness Coordinator
  • Displays leadership qualities;
  • Possesses excellent communication skills;
  • Has the ability to establish a working relationship with other district personnel and community agencies;
  • Shall meet requirements of law and be governed by Ohio Law;
  • Good health, high moral character, and good attendance record;

Salary will be based on experience and licensure.

This position will be held open until successful candidates are found.
