Job summary

Inspira Health Network seeks a social worker to provide psychosocial services and family assessments in an acute care setting. The role develops and implements psychosocial activities and documents patient interventions and outcomes in a timely manner.

The ideal candidate has a Master's in Social Work, license eligibility, and experience in hospital or inpatient psychiatric units, with strong knowledge of discharge planning and community resources.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Social Work from an Accredited college or university required.
• License eligible required (A passing score on the ASWB Social Work LSW Exam and within 8 months maintain current NJ LSW).
• Current Well training required within introductory period.
• Experience in an acute care hospital or inpatient psychiatric unit and knowledge of community resources are preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of the causation, symptoms and effects of mental illnesses.
• Demonstrates working knowledge of DSM V Manual, community resources, discharge planning activities, basic leadership skills, and decision-making ability.
• Must have the ability to perform psychosocial assessments and develop treatment plans.
