Position Overview

The Team Lead – Employee Assistance Program provides clinical and operational leadership within the EAP team, partnering with the Director to monitor and evaluate program quality, impact, and fidelity to standard work. This role coordinates the planning and delivery of EAP services across client company contracts, oversees team training and standard work implementation, and delivers training to external audiences on EAP services and related topics. The Team Lead proactively identifies training and program development needs, serves as a primary point of contact for leader and human resources consultation on employee concerns, and maintains a partial clinical caseload providing psychosocial assessment, short-term therapeutic counseling, and crisis intervention.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with the Director to ensure EAP program services are monitored and evaluated for quality and impact.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to plan, organize, and coordinate services and programs specific to the needs of company contracts.
  • Oversee the maintenance, training, implementation, and fidelity to standard work with team members and stakeholders.
  • Provide training to external audiences on EAP services, programs, and relevant topics.
  • Proactively identify training and program needs to ensure team skills are matched to the anticipated needs of client companies.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for leader and human resource consultation related to employee concerns.
  • Maintain a partial clinical caseload, providing psychosocial assessments, short-term therapeutic counseling, and crisis intervention.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Master's Degree required.
  • 6-8 years of relevant experience, including 3 years of experience in the employee assistance field and core EAP services, required.
  • Current license to practice clinical counseling in the state of Indiana (e.g., LCSW, LMFT, LMHC) required.
  • Certified Employee Assistance Professional (CEAP) credential required within 6 months of hire date.
  • Knowledge of the impact of the disease process and human behavior to provide psychosocial assessments, short-term therapeutic counseling, and crisis intervention required.
  • Basic Computer Skills And Proficiency With Microsoft Office Required.
  • Experience with process improvement and change management preferred.
  • Ability to develop content and present to large audiences with ease required.
  • Current certification in Critical Incident Stress Response, short-term solution-focused therapy, motivational interviewing, trauma-informed care, or substance use disorders preferred.
