Texoma Medical Center, part of Universal Health Services, is a 414-bed acute care facility in Denison, Texas, serving North Texas and Southern Oklahoma since 1965. The center offers comprehensive care, including major specialty services such as open heart surgery and neurosurgery, with the main campus located in Denison.

We are seeking a Social Worker to coordinate discharge planning, provide patient and family counseling, and deliver crisis intervention.

Qualifications

Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) is required.
Texas licensed Master Social Worker.
One year of social work experience preferred.
Must have effective verbal/written communication skills and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

Texoma Medical Center, a 414-bed acute care facility has been providing quality health care to the residents of North Texas and Southern Oklahoma since 1965. Our main campus is located in Denison, Texas, approximately one hour north of the Dallas/Fort Worth area and just south of the Texas/Oklahoma border. In addition, we have numerous facilities in locations throughout the Texoma region. Since 1965, TMC has forged a special relationship with the people of North Texas and Southern Oklahoma. Coordinates the discharge planning process, provides patient and family counseling, crisis intervention, financial needs assessment, information and referrals utilizing appropriate hospital department and/or community resources.

Qualifications

Must have effective verbal/written communication skills and must have basic computer skills. Must demonstrate knowledge and skill in the evaluation of patient needs
