Department Overview

The Social Work department provides emotional support and counseling to children and their families. They provide crisis intervention services help with adjustment issues grief and loss counseling mental health assessments case coordination community advocate support and short-term therapeutic interventions.

Position Summary

Seeking a clinical social worker (LGSW or LICSW) to support core social work coverage including patients presenting with mental health or behavioral crisis. Clinical social workers provide trauma informed care and work from an equity lens to support patients and families facing unexpected admissions trauma grief / loss end of life and basic needs. Social workers partner with families and care teams to facilitate safe and sustainable discharges. This position is based on our Minneapolis with ability to provide virtual support to our St. Paul campus. Day / eve shifts including e / o weekend.

Qualifications

License / Certification / Registration required

  • Minnesota State LGSW LICSW preferred

Education

  • Masters degree in social work required.

Experience

  • Experience providing crisis intervention.
  • Two years experience with counseling in a health care related setting or two years experience in a pediatric related setting or completion of graduate internship in either of the above settings.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

  • Knowledge of community resources.
  • Ability to provide good clear documentation of work.

The posted salary represents a market competitive range based on salary survey benchmark data for similar roles in the local or national market. When determining individual pay rates we carefully consider a wide range of factors including but not limited to market indicators for the specific role the skills education training credentials and experience of the candidate internal equity and organizational needs.

In addition to your salary this position may be eligible for medical dental vision retirement and other fringe benefits. Positions that require night weekend or on-call work may be eligible for shift differentials or premium pay.
