Job summary

The Autism Society of North Carolina is seeking an experienced Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to serve as a clinical resource across autism, care coordination, and systems navigation for individuals, families and partners statewide.

You will provide psychotherapy within scope, advise on complex cases, educate on rights and options, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve care delivery in North Carolina.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work.
• Full licensure as an LCSW by the NC Social Work Certification and Licensure Board, or eligibility for NC licensure with licensure required by start date.
• At least three years of Medicaid care management, case management, or care coordination experience.
• Experience with mental health, autism/IDD services, and NC social determinants of health resources.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a clinical resource for staff, clients, families, providers and partners across autism/IDD and care coordination.
• Provide clinical consultation, resource guidance, and strategies to overcome barriers to care.
• Partner with ASNC leaders to strengthen workflows and service delivery across departments.
• Educate clients about rights, options, payer requirements, ASNC programs, and supports.
• Deliver psychotherapy as appropriate per scope of practice and licensure.
• Serve as Clinical Liaison for Tailored Care Management, including discharge planning and complex needs.
• Deliver workshops and staff education; build knowledge across teams.
• Collaborate with regional leaders and community partners to facilitate coordinated support.
