Job summary

Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) seeks a licensed social worker to provide individual and group therapy for children and adolescents in an outpatient community psychiatry clinic located in an academic medical center.

You will conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, coordinate case management with community resources and schools, and participate in a multidisciplinary team to monitor progress and plan discharge back to community services.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in social work from CSWE-accredited program.
  • South Carolina MSW licensure by the SC Board of Social Work Examiners.
  • Certification in case management preferred.

Develops a comprehensive picture of the patient’s treatment needs. Serves as a member of the treatment team in the diagnostic evaluation of patients and the identification of treatment objectives.

Job Description

Specific

Provide evidenced-based treatment for patients at CDT. Provide group, Family-Based Treatment and individual treatment. Provide therapeutic support. Program therapists develop treatment plans, monitor and document progress and facilitate discharge planning to meet compliance and billing requirements and successfully return the patient to community resources. Program therapists work within a multidisciplinary team of therapists, medical providers and families to ensure comprehensive treatment. Participate in weekly clinical team meetings with multi-disciplinary team of medical providers and therapists.

Additional Job Description

Education: Master's degree in a social work or social welfare program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education. Credentials: MSW licensure by the South Carolina Board of Social Work Examiners. Certification in case management preferred.
